This report highlights and summarizes some of the key actions taken by State Energy Offices in response to the energy security and reliability concerns brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. The role of State Energy Offices in the broader energy sector emergency response involved novel tactics and approaches to ensure that supply chain, personnel, and equipment challenges were addressed in a timely and effective manner. These efforts were achieved through the peer and expert support from the NASEO Energy Security Committee and the Department of Energy’s Office of Cybersecurity, Energy Security, and Emergency Response (CESER).
