On December 13, 2022, Lt. Governor Evette announced that South Carolina will install EV chargers at 30 state parks by the end of 2023. This project was supported by the South Carolina Energy Office, South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation & Tourism, and Rivian, an EV maker and automotive technology company. This partnership was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Energy Office and is a result of successful networking through South Carolina’s recent EV Stakeholder Initiative.
