Oregon Department of Energy Announces Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Awards to Local Governments

The Oregon Department of Energy announced $1.2 million in grants to 13 local governments across the state on September 16, 2024. The grants support projects that reduce fossil fuel emissions, improve energy efficiency, and build a clean and equitable energy economy, with at least 40 percent of the awarded funds expected to reach disadvantaged communities. Selected projects include Home Energy Score assessments and energy efficiency updates in Justice40 communities; local government building heating, ventilation, and air conditioning upgrades; purchasing EVs and installing chargers; and more.
