In December 2025, the Nuclear Indiana Coalition and Indiana Office of Energy Development released a report on Advanced Nuclear Project Financing Options. The report was prepared by Energy Systems Network and looked at the overall state of the nuclear industry, different business cases for advanced nuclear, risk mitigation strategies, financing approaches, and types of project developers and closed with a series of recommendations for the state. These included the importance of state financial support for early project development; collaboration with utilities, other states, and the national laboratories; and a focus on risk reduction strategies particularly around potential site selection and host communities.
