Increasingly urgent concerns about climate impacts from carbon dioxide (CO2) and other greenhouse gases (GHG) are leading to a growing number of states, localities, and private companies enacting policies and establishing targets to reduce emissions. Carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) could offer an innovative important approach to enhance energy reliability and economic development and reduce emissions from energy for states, localities, and private companies interested and industrial facilities. NASEO facilitates state collaboration and sharing of best practices on all matters pertaining to CCUS carbon utilization, storage, and transport options and opportunities, including supportive policy and regulatory measures.
